hot & sleepless summer nights.
My Study Experience. ✈
A little over 5 years ago, I moved to Spain for a semester abroad. Fully excited, I booked a one-way ticket to the Southern coast and packed my bags.
And let me tell you, it was a wild ride. 😅
Not only was I getting used to a different lifestyle, but I also made an awful mistake with my accommodation choice and was bar-hopping with friends several times a week.
My University building was less than 2min away by foot, which was pure luxury!
Like that, I was able to go out and have breakfast before classes and 2h lunch breaks which were perfect for a little "siesta" time. Trust me, if I could turn back time, I would. 💭
I have a small list of my favourite places that I really want to go back to - little Spanish tapas bars with amazing value for money and delicious food (I will create a separate blog post for anyone interested in it). 🍻
Diving into the Spanish culture did not only mean learning the language and eating the food but also adopting habits and joining local festivities. 🎉 For anyone out there who will come to Granada as a foreign exchange student, you will be happy to hear that it's super simple to organise - no matter whether you are alone or with a group of friends! There are so many different operators for short day trips within Spain (at that time even to Morrocco).
Some of the main day trips that I did were: Feria de Sevilla, Cordoba, Nerja and Gibraltar. More detailed blog posts will follow about each one of those trips. 👀
